Simi Valley Man, 30, Accused Of Selling Heroin

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 30-year-old Simi Valley man is accused of selling heroin, according to authorities.

Officials said Terry Hand was suspected of selling heroin to other Simi Valley residents and arrested at a shopping mall on Friday around 4:30 p.m.

Hand was arrested by a joint task force made up of  Simi Valley Police detectives and the Ventura County Sheriff's Narcotics Department.

After Hand was detained, authorities searched his home located in the 5000 block of Hidden Park Court in Simi Valley.

Detectives said they uncovered 21 grams of heroin and evidence Hand was "actively involved in the sale of heroin" during the search.

Hand was arrested for possession and sale of a controlled substance. He was booked into the county jail pending $50,000 bail or his conditional release.

Authorities said Hand is next expected to appear in court on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
