POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities responding to a call about a possible stabbing found two Pomona men -- family members -- had repeatedly stabbed each other during a fight.

Police were called to an apartment complex in the 1400 block of S. Park Avenue just after 5:50 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said both men suffered non-life threatening cuts but that each sustained multiple stab wounds.

Officials said both of the men produced knives.

The stabbing victims were identified as Gilbert Alcantera, 23, and Erik Soto, 33. Both men are Pomona residents.

The exact nature of their familial relationship is unclear. The cause of the fight was also not given.

Officials said both men were treated at the scene by LA County Fire Department personnel and then transported to local hospitals for further treatment.
