Mission Viejo Man Sentenced To 120 Years To Life For Molesting 3 Young Girls

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A 46-year-old Mission Viejo man convicted of molesting three young girls under the age of 10 was sentenced Friday to 120 years to life in prison.

Omar Alirio Guzman was convicted in July of eight felony counts of lewd acts with a minor, officials said.

Guzman was a "very close" neighbor of two of the victims, who are sisters, and would often socialize with their parents, Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Walker said.

The sisters, who were 9 and 10 years old at the time, said Guzman molested them at his home when they would come over to play with his daughter, according to authorities.

One of the girls told her mother about the incidents when she was inspired by a television show about an abusive father, Walker said.

After further investigation, another girl, who was 5 years old at the time, came forward.

Guzman had been suspected in a separate case involving the molestation of a different girl in 1995. He was not prosecuted in the case because the statute of limitations had lapsed.
