Glendale Family Gets Ashes Of Beloved Great-Grandmother Back
GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — The ashes of a beloved great-grandmother stolen from outside a home in Glendale have been returned.
On Monday, KCAL9 reported about the theft of Lois LaRocco's ashes.
The woman's remains were inside an urn covered by a purple velvet sack placed inside a minivan outside a home.
The family was preparing for a memorial when the ashes were stolen.
A gardener reportedly found the sack on the lawn of a home in Burbank.
He turned the ashes over to police who, in turn, gave them back to the family.
Officials said the ashes were not disturbed.
