LA’s Vibrant History Embodied At El Pueblo De Los Angeles
By Nicole Cormier
Right in Los Angeles is a living museum that represents the varied cultures living and working in the city. El Pueblo De Los Angeles Historic Monument, just north of the 101, is a cultural center that celebrates Native American, African American, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, Italian and French heritage. The site has 27 historical buildings, 11 of which are open to the public. This city plaza is a great place to take the family to revel in the diversity and rich culture. In El Pueblo there are five different museums to peruse including, Avila Adobe, Chinese American Museum, Plaza Firehouse Museum, Sepulveda House and Italian American Museum. In the area there are also art exhibitions, murals and statues. A day in El Pueblo is both educational and entertaining, as there’s never a dull moment and so much beauty to enjoy.
Take the quick drive to El Pueblo De Los Angeles in a vehicle that will comfortably transport the whole family to a different time. A 2013 GL550 4MATIC SUV from Mercedes-Benz of Encino is an ideal vehicle that melds family functionality with sleek elegance all while performing perfectly.
