1 Killed In Huntington Beach Vault Explosion

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Officials said one person was killed Monday afternoon in an underground vault explosion.

The accident happened at 12:16 p.m. in the 16200 block of Tisbury Circle in Huntington Beach, fire officials said.

The person killed possibly worked with a Southern California Edison contractor.

Approximately 353 Edison customers were without power, authorities said.

It was unclear what caused the explosion.
