STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Rickie Byars Beckwith, the founder of the Rhythm and Joy Festival, appeared on KCAL9 News on Saturday morning with Singer Sheila Nicholls to discuss the event.

The three-day festival takes place from Oct. 4 through 6, at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley.

The festival will feature more than 80 artists from different genres, including Jazz, R&B, Kirtan, Hip Hop, Spoken Word, Sacred, and World Music.

It will also offer a special program for high school-aged kids as well as college students that will feature music, mural making, song writing, and dance workshops.
