Deadly Assault Investigated At Bar In Lancaster

LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a man that allegedly occurred as the result of an assault at a bar in Lancaster.

Officials say the assault occurred around 12:35 a.m. Saturday in the 44200 block of Division Street.

The assault victim was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to a head injury.

Detectives determined the man was injured during the commission of an assault at the bar.

A photographer on scene told a City News Service reporter the victim was hit over the head with a toilet seat.

The victim's name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

Officials said they had a suspect in custody. His name was also withheld.
