Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 26)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The upper level low and associated trough will pass through the area today.

Look for some gusty winds early today, especially in the mountains and deserts where there are advisories and warnings in place.

We have some clouds that have moved into the area as a result of lift in the atmosphere and moisture that is rotating through the base of a trough.  As the trough shifts to the south and east, we will get more of an off-shore flow and the see the skies clear out.

Expect temperatures to hover well below seasonal averages today.   We should top out in the 70s in the basin to near 80 degrees inland.

Friday and Saturday high pressure bumps in along with an off-shore flow.  That will warm us up significantly into the 80s to mid 90s.  Cooler weather is on tap for Sunday.

Basin - mid 70s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - upper 70s to low 80s

Mountains - upper 50s

Deserts - low 70s
