Ethier To Miss Rest Of Regular Season With Leg Injury, Playoffs Too?
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - After further examination, Dodgers skipper Don Mattingly announced Thursday that outfielder Andre Ethier will not return for the regular season with shin splints.
Ethier initially injured his leg on September 13 where he exited early in a game against Colorado, but then later in the month he was unable to run during a pregame workout and has been shut down ever since.
"Does it worry me?" Mattingly said. "Yeah, I'm a little worried about him just because it didn't look very good yesterday and he wasn't running very hard when it happened."
The big question is will he be healthy enough to play in the playoffs which will begin Thursday or Friday.
