Josh Rubentein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It is the first full day of fall, but temps are bumping up into the 80s and 90s.

There is also a wind advisory in effect until 9 a.m. for the mountains of LA, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties.

However, no worries, we are looking at a significant cool down for Tuesday and the rest of the week.  There is a broad trough and a deep upper level low that will dive into the west coast and down to the southwest.

This will take an inside slider track, which translates into a thick marine layer ahead of the front, then dry gusty winds clearing things out.

Temperatures will be topping out well below average for this time of year from Tuesday through Friday.  Temps will warm significantly Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Basin - mid to upper 80s

Beaches - upper 70s

Valleys - mid 90s

Mountains - upper 60s

Deserts - upper 80s to low 90s
