Long Beach police spokesperson Nancy Pratt had a message for business owners to be on the lookout, especially in The Pike area.

"If they see anything that looks out of the ordinary, anything suspicious at all, we would really like them to give us a phone call in regards to whatever it is that they're seeing and let us come out, let us check it out, and if it's something for us to be concerned with, we'll deal with it right away," she said.

Authorities plan to add additional patrols to keep an eye on things.

A "bash mob" most recently occurred in Long Beach on July 9. One person was arrested and several businesses reported property damage during the incident.
