2 Minor Earthquakes Shake La Verne Area
LA VERNE (CBSLA.com) — Two minor earthquakes rattled the Pomona Valley early Thursday.
The first tremor, which had a 3.7-magnitude, hit at 4:43 a.m. near La Verne, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A second quake with a magnitude of 3.8 hit minutes later at 5:06 a.m.
Cal Tech refers to the two small tremors as a "doublet."
There were no reports of damage or injuries from either earthquake, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
