Buena Park Man, 45, Accused In 15-Year-Old Girl's Fatal Meth Overdose

BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Police in Buena Park have announced the arrest of a 45-year-old man they say supplied a 15-year-old girl with a fatal amount of methamphetamine.

On Monday, around 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home in the 7500 block of Fillmore Avenue in Buena Park.

Upon arrival, officers met with paramedics who said there was a deceased teen on the premises.

The victim was a reported runaway from the City of Orange.

Detectives concluded that a second victim, a female juvenile, had left the premises prior to the paramedics arrival. That juvenile was located and questioned along with two male adults who were with the deceased teen.

The female juvenile and second male adult were also questioned and released.

Police arrested one of the adult males. He has been identified as Jeffrey Peurrung.

Officials said Peurrung had been supplying the females with methamphetamine and that they found a "significant" amount at the crime scene.

The Orange County DA's Office filed charges against Peurrung including lewd acts upon a child (age 14 or 15), inducing a minor to buy a controlled substance, inducing a minor more than 4 years younger as an agent, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Peurrung is currently being held at the Orange County Sheriff's Jail in Santa Ana.

KCAL9's Serene Branson spoke to neighbors who said the block is "known for drugs."

Officials also told Branson that Peurrung allegedly plied the runaways with drugs and "took advantage of them."

They said pending their investigation and the completion of an autopsy additional charges against Peurrung were likely.
