Board Of Supervisors Approves Plan To Build $800,000 Skate Park In La Crescenta
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A plan has been approved by the Board of Supervisors that will build a $800,000 skate park in unincorporated La Crescenta.
The funding to build the park in the Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park, which will reportedly measure 10,000-square-feet, will come from a utility tax.
The annual cost for staff and maintenance of the park is expected to be about $79,000.
The Department of Parks and Recreation has worked with local skateboarders in the planning stages of the park, which will include bleachers for spectators.
The board's vote on Tuesday authorized hiring a design consultant.
