Motorist In Critical Condition After Being Stabbed By Another Driver In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Deputies Monday were searching for at least two suspects wanted for allegedly stabbing a motorist in Santa Clarita.

The incident happened around 8:10 p.m. Sunday in the 23600 block of Newhall Avenue, according to Santa Clarita Sheriff's Department officials.

The 25-year-old victim was parking at an apartment complex when two suspects reportedly crashed into his vehicle, authorities said.

"It is possible that this traffic collision was intentional," Deputy Joshua Dubin said in a statement.

One of the suspects reportedly exited his vehicle and confronted the victim, who was then stabbed.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle described as a dark-colored, late 1990s model year Chevy Impala.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. He was listed in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

No suspect description was given.
