2 Southland Walks To Benefit Brain Tumor Research

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — About 700,000 Americans are living with brain tumors, according to braintumor.org. Presently, treatment options are limited.

The National Brain Tumor Society is leading the fight for a cure.

On Sunday morning, Frank Figueroa and Bryan Bishop visited KCAL9 to discuss two upcoming walks that will raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research.

The 12th Annual Walk at Angels Stadium in Orange County will take place on Sept. 21, followed by the 2nd Annual Walk in Los Angeles on Oct. 16, at Exposition Park.

Last year, the Southern California walks raised a combined total of more than $400,000, according to the organization.
