Suspect Sought For Allegedly Exposing Himself To Teen Girls Near Murrieta High School

MURRIETA (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday were searching for a suspect wanted for allegedly exposing himself to two teenagers on separate occasions near an Inland Empire high school.

A 15-year-old girl was walking to Murrieta Valley High School near Washington Avenue and Vineyard Parkway just after 7 a.m. Sept. 5 when a man reportedly stopped his vehicle next her and performed a lewd act while staring at her, police said.

On Sept. 12, a 16-year-old girl reported a similar incident while she was driving to school on Nighthawk Way near Washington, according to authorities.

"It's disturbing and you worry about, you know, all the kids coming and leaving school and girls alone and you want to make sure they're safe," parent Holly Swiger said. Swiger and her husband, Paul, warned their daughter to be careful.

"We heard it as an alert through our phones and so we were concerned, and when we got the second report even more so," Swiger said.

In both incidences, the suspect's vehicle was described as a 1990's compact car, possibly a 4-door or a Toyota with slightly oxidized and faded blue colored paint.

The suspect was described as a shorter, stocky built Hispanic man in his late 30s to early 50s with dark, cropped hair.

Anyone with more information was asked to contact Sgt. Phil Gomez at (951)461-6356.
