Man, 18, Suspected In Several Coachella Valley Burglaries
COACHELLA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday said an 18-year-old man suspected in several Coachella Valley burglaries was behind bars.
Angel Navarro of Coachella was arrested about 11 a.m. Thursday after authorities say they responded to a “burglary in progress” call in the 48000 block of Cozumel Street.
Upon arriving on scene, officers conducted a search of the area and located Navarro.
“Evidence located during the investigation linked Navarro to the burglary, along with an additional residential burglary that occurred in an adjacent community within the same time frame,” a statement issued by the Coachella Police Department said.
Navarro is also suspected in at least six other burglaries dating back to July 2013, according to authorities.
He has been booked into the county jail in Indio with bail set at $35,000, according to jail records.
Anyone with more information about the burglaries was asked to contact Coachella Valley Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-7867 or deputies at (760) 863-8990.
