Rapper The Game Donates $10K For Funeral Of Girl Killed Outside Moreno Valley Party

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Well-known rapper The Game has donated $10,000 for the funeral of a 6-year-old girl who was gunned down in an apparent gang-related shooting outside of a party in Moreno Valley over the weekend.

The performer posted a photo of Tiana Ricks on his Instagram account and said he tracked down the girl's mother, 24-year-old Marquia Macklin, when he discovered she was raising money for her daughter's memorial.

"This very sad story hit me in a place nothing ever has," The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, said.

On Saturday, Tiana, along with her father, Tyrell Ricks Jr., 26, was shot when two suspects opened fire in the driveway of a home.

Tiana was struck in her shoulder. The bullet then went through her and hit her father in the leg.

Relatives said Tiana asked if her father was okay before gasping for breath and losing consciousness.

She later succumbed to her injuries at a hospital.

"My sincerest condolences to you & your family Marquia. Glad that I could be of some help. I don't know what else to say, but @therobinhoodproject got you!" the rapper posted, referring to a decision to distribute $1 million to people around the world every day until Christmas.

Macklin gave thanks to The Game for his help on her Instagram. She also thanked Snoop Lion, who she said contributed to Tiana's fund through his foundation "No Guns Allowed."
