Homicide Investigation Opened After Body Found In Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — Police have opened a homicide investigation after a man was found dead in Costa Mesa on Monday.

Costa Mesa police responded to a call at 11:10 a.m. about a body that was found at 536 Hamilton Street in front of an uninhabited building, according to Lt. Greg Scott of the Costa Mesa Police.

A drug and alcohol rehabilitation center had previously been at the location, but has since moved.

The death is being investigated as a homicide, according to Lt. Scott.

The identity of the man, along with his age and cause of death, have not been released.
