Powerball Jackpot Swells To $245 Million

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Lottery officials said that no tickets matched all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball draw.

The estimated jackpot Saturday was $203 million.

Officials estimate the next draw, Wednesday evening, will be about $245 million.

Three 5/5 tickets (having all the numbers but the Powerball) were sold in Illinois, New Mexico and Michigan. Those tickets are worth $1 million each.

The numbers drawn Saturday were 2, 19, 22, 26, 45. The Powerball number was 24.

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Powerball starts at $40 million. The jackpot climbs every time there is no winner.

The record jackpotPowerball  reached $590 million in May 2013.

Meanwhile, Mega Millions' current jackpot stands at $106 million. The next Mega Millions draw is Tuesday.

The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Mega Millions jackpot starts at $12 million.

The record Mega Millions jackpot went to $656 million in March 2012.
