Suspects ID'd In Shooting At Palmdale Gas Station

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Three men who were arrested in connection with a car-to-car shooting in the Antelope Valley that left a 7-year-old girl on life support were identified by authorities on Thursday.

Jesus Peralta, 22, and Carlos Peralta, 19, of Palmdale, and Eduardo Diaz, 20, of Little Rock were arrested and booked at Palmdale Sheriff's Station for attempted murder, according to Sheriff's homicide detectives.

The suspects were arrested as part of an investigation into the shooting that occurred at 12:45 AM on Sept. 4 in the 5100 block of Essex Drive in Palmdale, detectives said.

KNX 1070's Claudia Peschiutta reports the shooting reportedly followed an altercation between the three suspects and a family of six at a Mobil gas station, according to investigators.

As the family drove away, multiple gunshots rang out from the suspects' vehicle towards the family's vehicle, detectives said.

After evading the suspects, the girl's mother discovered her daughter, Desirae Macias, was wounded and called for help.

Macias was listed in extremely critical condition as of Thursday morning.

Each suspect is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

No additional suspects are being sought.
