Authorities Search For Attempted Robbery Suspect In Hacienda Heights

HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's gang investigators released a video Wednesday of a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in Hacienda Heights.

The incident occurred at 8:21 p.m. on April 26 at Park's Liquor Store at 907 Seventh Avenue.

The 60-year-old victim was reportedly waiting in his car while his girlfriend was purchasing cigarettes inside the store, according to authorities.

A suspect then allegedly approached him with a firearm and demanded money. The victim quickly showed the suspect his empty wallet to demonstrate that he had no money in it.

The suspect fled the scene, heading east on Clark Avenue on a black 10-speed bicycle.

The suspect was described as being in his early 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 210 pounds, with a shaved head, goatee, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call the sheriff's Industry Station at (626) 330-3322.
