26-Year-Old Man Found Unconscious Next To Burning Car In Santa Ana

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A 26-year-old man was found unconscious next to a burning car in Santa Ana early Monday morning.

The victim was discovered around 3 a.m. next to a 2011 Nissan that was on fire in the 200 block of North Daisy Avenue, Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

The man, who suffered a puncture wound to the left side of his forehead, was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, but has not regained consciousness yet.

Bertagna said the car didn't belong to the victim and appeared to have been intentionally set ablaze.

"We don't know what happened. There are no witnesses," he said.
