Residents Escape House Fire In Cerritos

CERRITOS (CBSLA.com) — Investigators Monday were trying to determine the cause of a house fire in Cerritos, officials said.

The fire broke out just before 11 p.m. Sunday at a single-story home in the 17000 block of Stowers Avenue, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The home's occupants had evacuated before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.

The fire, which started in the home's living room, took seven minutes to extinguish.
