Man Stabbed In Compton Parking Lot; Suspects Sought

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally stabbed in the city of Compton overnight, authorities said Sunday.

Deputies responded to the 4600 block of Alondra Boulevard about 2:57 a.m. after receiving a call reporting a stabbing.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies found the victim in a parking lot with a stab wound to his stomach.

The victim, described as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s, was taken to a hospital where he died.

Prior to the stabbing, witnesses told authorities that the victim had ordered food from a lunch truck when two black males walked up and stabbed him, according to a statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The suspects fled on foot, the statement said.
