OC Coroner Identifies Mother, Daughter Found Dead In Stanton

STANTON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said autopsies of a Stanton mother and daughter found dead in a seniors' apartment complex were inconclusive.

Toxicology tests will be needed to determine the exact cause of death.

The women's names and ages were released Thursday. The women were identified as 81-year-old Beverly Skinn and her 43-year-old daughter Monnie.

The elder skin died a day before her birthday Wednesday.

The bodies were found in a unit at Park Place Apartments in the 7600 block of Katella Avenue just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities found the bodies while doing a welfare check on one of the women, Orange County Sherrif's Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

Hallock said it was "highly unusual" for two people to have suffered natural or accidental deaths in the same place at roughly the same time.

The apartments are listed as senior housing for those 55 and older, according to apartmentguide.com.
