Man Found Dead In Montebello Street, Investigation Underway

MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday were investigating the death of a young Hispanic man who was found dead in Montebello.

Montebello police received a "man down" call from the 140 block of North 3rd Street around 4:20 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

When officers arrived on scene, a male victim in his 20s was found dead. Another man between the ages of 17 and 20 was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said it appears a vehicle hit both unidentified victims.

"Investigators have learned that an argument was heard from the area just prior to the call," officials said.

No suspect information was released.
