Remarkable Art Inspired From Coastal Beauty At Wyland’s Galleries
By Nicole Cormier
When you reside on the coast, appreciating the ocean’s beauty is a part of everyday life, but it is not to be taken for granted. Wyland, a world-renowned marine-life artist, creates paintings, sculptures and sketches that depict the natural beauty of ocean’s creatures. Wyland opened his first gallery in the vibrant Laguna Beach art community, and after expanding to many galleries all over the country, it still remains the flagship (509 S. Coast Highway). The gallery is located on a beachfront property adjacent to the Laguna Beach hotel and is home to the first of Wyland’s “Whaling Wall” murals.
Enjoy the gallery filled with many of the multi-medium creations while sipping a cup of coffee. Finish off the luxurious trip by lounging on the front deck while admiring Wyland’s inspiration––the ocean. It’s rumored that Wyland spends a lot of time at this gallery, so you may even meet him.
Drive down the coast to Wyland Gallery in Laguna Beach in a fine machine that will complement the beautiful scenery on the journey, and the destination. A 2013 S400 Hybrid Sedan from Mercedes-Benz of Encino will get you there in style while still ensuring ultimate performance.
