1 Dead, 4 Transported To Hospitals Following Crash In Orange

ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed and four injured in a crash Thursday evening on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Orange.

The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the State College offramp.

Police say a man in a Lexus was exiting the freeway when his vehicle hit a disabled car, killing a man changing a tire.

Witnesses said two young girls were hurt but their injuries were believed to be minor.

At least two people were transported to area hospitals.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
