Kessler Is Leading Candidate To Win Starting QB Job At USC

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com/AP) -- Southern California has wrapped up training camp without choosing a starting quarterback, and receiver Marqise Lee says the situation is "crazy."

Coach Lane Kiffin says he still hasn't decided between Cody Kessler and Max Wittek after the 24th-ranked Trojans' final scrimmage at the Coliseum on Wednesday. Kiffin says not much separates the two passers hoping to succeed Matt Barkley, and he hasn't ruled out using both quarterbacks in games.

Lee has been waiting for Kiffin's decision throughout training camp, but he says he's "lost" trying to figure out who will be throwing passes to him next Thursday at Hawaii.

Lee says he's "50-50" himself on the choice.

Kessler, who threw two interceptions in the no-tackling scrimmage, but also made the game's best throw on a 55-yard TD pass to Nelson Agholor, is the leading candidate to win the QB spot after Matt Barkley.
