STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A 35-year-old man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash in Studio City.

The collision occurred about 11:42 p.m. Saturday on Ventura Boulevard east of Fairview Avenue.

The victim has been identified as Michael Spencer Bonanomi of Studio City.

Bonanomi was crossing northbound across Ventura Boulevard when he was struck by a possible white Mercedes Benz CLS, according to authorities.

Authorities said the suspect’s vehicle appeared to be new and had black paper plates with the word “Encino” written in yellow.

The vehicle sustained major front-end damage and was last seen heading east on Ventura Boulevard.
