Ball Up Players Discuss How Streetball Is Putting A New Spin On Basketball

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Streetball is gaining popularity, offering a new spin on basketball with flashier moves and unconventional players.

Demetrius Spencer, the CEO of Ball Up, said streetball is bringing untapped talent and high-profile players together on the same court.

His team is touring this summer and looking for new players.

Spencer will be joined by former Laker Derek Fisher in holding a tryout Saturday morning at Helen Bernstein High School in L.A. Ten men will be selected to compete against the Ball Up team in a Saturday night game at Long Beach State.
