Authorities ID Jogger, 18, Killed By Motorist

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have identified an 18-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a vehicle.

Alyssa Galvan was struck while jogging in the area of South Towner Street and West MacArthur Boulevard at around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the L.A. County Coroner's Office.

It was unclear if she was in a crosswalk when she was hit.

Galvan was rushed to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where she was pronounced dead at 2:40 p.m. Friday.

Police said the driver remained at the scene, and was not cited or arrested.
