Police Hunt For Suspects Possibly Linked To Attempted Murder Of CHP Officer

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Three robbery suspects were in custody after a pursuit in South Los Angeles, according to reports Friday.

A police perimeter had been set up at 47th and Main streets around 2:20 p.m., according to SKY9’s Aaron Fitzgerald.

LAPD officers had been following the three men before they attempted to pull their vehicle over, Fitzgerald reported.

After a brief pursuit, two of the suspects were immediately taken into police custody. A third suspect was arrested after hiding in a residential backyard.

The suspects may also be wanted for attempted murder on a California Highway Patrol officer, Fitzgerald reported.

Maya Angelou Community High School was placed on lockdown.
