Traffic On Southbound 101 Freeway Resumes Following Police Chase
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday apprehended a suspect on the southbound 101 Freeway in Hollywood, bringing traffic to a stop near the Melrose Avenue exit.
The California Highway Patrol began pursuing the suspect at 5:27 p.m. after the driver was reportedly caught speeding near the Western Avenue exit.
SKY2 was overhead as the driver brought their dark-colored compact car to a stop near Melrose Ave. and exited the vehicle with hands raised.
The suspect was taken into custody at around 5:45 p.m.
Freeway traffic resumed at 6 p.m.
