Pets2Love: Mercy

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — This week's Pets2Love is Mercy!

Mercy is a 3-legged love bug who is ready to find her fur-ever home!

She is an amazing, sweet and beautiful 2-year-old pit bull that has lived through a horrendous experience.

Mercy was thrown from a car and, in turn, hit and dragged by an automobile. She suffered terribly for two days before a wonderful women came to her aid in Inglewood.

Jimi's Angels Rescue was alerted to her tragedy and immediately, with the help of a rescue team, saved her life and got her the medical care she needed.

Mercy was hospitalized for a month and underwent an amputation of her back right leg. She also had severe skin injuries from being dragged.

It also appears she had a litter of puppies two weeks before this accident, but no puppies were ever found.

THE MIRACLE: Mercy just loves people! She loves her walks and will be the best friend ever. She is selective with dogs, and its believed she is trying to protect herself since she is a new tripod.

This is the type of rescue that took an army of people to help her, and she has had many angels watching out for her.

Mercy weighs 54 pounds and lives with her trainer. She knows all of her commands and is a favorite of theirs. She is incredibly easy-going and loves her crate.

Training sessions are included if Mercy is adopted, just call Jimi's Angels at (818) 300-3889.
