Rideshare Service 'Uber' Expands To The Valley, South Bay & Pasadena

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Popular ride-share service Uber announced Thursday it has expanded coverage in Los Angeles.

"Uber has officially expanded its coverage from the LA Metro area to the following locations: South Bay, The Valley and Pasadena," the company posted on its blog.

The online car service connects those looking for a ride with drivers in the area through a smartphone application.

The company is offering free rides up to $25 through Aug. 21 for those traveling within the extended coverage area. Just enter the promo code "LAExpansion" in the app when requesting the ride. For more details, click here.
