Bee Fire Near San Francisquito Canyon 100 Percent Contained

CASTAIC (CBSLA.com) — A brush fire burning in rough terrain near San Francisquito Canyon in Castaic is now 100 percent contained, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

The so-called Bee Fire erupted about 5:18 p.m. Friday just south of where the so-called Powerhouse Fire had erupted earlier this season.

As of Sunday, officials said the fire was holding at 100 acres.

Thus far, a total of 52 personnel were assigned to the firefight.

The California Highway Patrol says the blaze closed San Francisquito Canyon Road between the Santa Clarita Valley and Antelope Valley areas due to the blaze.
