Quake Trio Rocks Pine Valley In San Diego County
PINE VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a trio of minor quakes have struck Pine Valley in San Diego County.
The USGS says the first quake Saturday measured at magnitude-3.9 and struck at 7:09 a.m., 16 miles east-northeast of Pine Valley, 29 miles east of Alpine, and 32 miles east-southeast of the San Diego Country Estates.
The second tremor, a magnitude-3.8, struck about 51 seconds later and virtually in the same location.
Saturday's first quake occurred at a depth of 3.2 miles and the second at a depth of 4.3 miles.
Those quakes were proceeded by a 3.0 quake in roughly the same area Friday around 7:19 p.m.
The quakes were all felt across San Diego County and even southern Orange County.
