NORTH HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A pipe bomb was found in a vehicle in North Hills on Thursday.

Police pulled over a suspect who matched the description of someone involved in a domestic disturbance around 4:24 p.m. near Plummer and Orion streets.

The device was then reportedly discovered in the driver’s side door.

A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad was called to the scene to remove the pipe bomb.

Two suspects were taken into custody.

Some residents were forced to leave their homes during the investigation.

No other information was immediately available.
