Man Critically Injured After Assault Outside Pasadena Restaurant

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A Rowland Hills man was critically injured Monday after being assaulted in the street outside a restaurant in the Old Town area of Pasadena.

Police received a 911 call about a combative subject inside a restaurant in the 100 block of East Colorado Boulevard at approximately 12:50 a.m. Another call, fifty seconds later, reported that a man was injured in the street, according to Lt. Terysa Rojas of the Pasadena Police Department.

While she said it is unclear how the two calls were related, she said both calls came from the same location, the identity of which has not been released.

The reported combative individual inside the restaurant and the man outside were not the same person, according to Lt. Rojas.

The injured man, 26, was reportedly taken to a hospital in critical condition with a head injury, caused by blunt force trauma.

Pasadena police detectives have asked anybody with information to call (626) 744-4241.
