10-Month-Old Boy In Critical Condition After Nearly Drowning In Tub
WESTMINSTER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said a 10-month-old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning in a bathtub.
The incident was reported at 9:49 a.m. in a home in the 8700 block of Bishop Avenue, according to Sgt. Richard Mize of the Westminster Police Department.
The boy's father was reportedly giving the child a bath when he left the room for an undetermined period of time, Mize said.
When the father returned he said the child was unconscious and not breathing.
The child was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Mize said.
Orange County Child Protective Services officials responded to the hospital to conduct an investigation along with the ongoing police investigation, Mize said.
