Pedestrian Struck By Metrolink Train In Northridge

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — A pedestrian Friday was struck by a Metrolink train in Northridge.

The accident near Van Nuys Airport occurred just before 5 p.m. near the corner of Roscoe and Balboa boulevards.

The crash involved the Ventura County Line no. 150 which was en route to Los Angeles Union Station, according to SKY2's Gil Leyvas.

Delays of up to an hour and a half were expected, according to a Metrolink tweet.

Leyvas reported that the fire department and officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were responding to the location.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
