Grab the whole family and head out to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. You will all have a lot of fun enjoying the more than 100 different interactive science exhibits, all designed to teach and entertain. There are plenty of fun things to enjoy here, and there is something for everyone in the family, so be sure to bring everyone along for this fun and educational trip. Plus, the drive from Los Angeles to San Diego is among some of the most scenic in the state, so you are sure to love the drive almost as much as the destination.
The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is home to the world’s first IMAX Dome Theater, which will wrap you within the movie image, making for a truly astounding IMAX experience. Make sure to catch a movie at this state-of-the-art theater. Also, check out the “On the Fly: Technology Takes Off” exhibit, with multiple daily performances showcasing small-scale unmanned aerial vehicles, and be sure to visit the touring exhibit from the National Guitar Museum, which will give you a hands-on look at the history of the guitar as well as its evolution, design and use throughout history.
There are 12 permanent exhibits at the Science Center including interactive looks at how you age and explorations of the human body and stem cells. You can also get a look at a lot of different illusions and perceptions, or try your hand at all sorts of different science demonstrations and build your own architectural wonders. There is simply so much to do here that your whole family will want to return again and again.
