Robber Wearing Dark Hoodie Hits Santa Ana Subway Shop 4 Times In 2 Months

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities need the public's help to identify a man they say robbed a Subway sandwich shop at knife point four times over the past two months.

The latest robbery at the Subway shop, at 2633 W. Edinger, happened on Tuesday. The suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt and was armed with a pocket knife each time he robbed the store, Santa Ana Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

The same shop was robbed on June 12, July 11 and July 17. Police believe each robbery was committed by the same man.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-1, 175 to 200 pounds with a medium build. During three robberies he wore a dark, hooded sweatshirt.
