Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 24)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We are expecting a relatively quiet day here in the Southland.

Temperatures will warm slightly in the basin over the next couple of days.  Those temperatures will be moderated by a marine layer.

We will see more dramatic warming for inland areas by the end of the week.  The heart of Los Angeles and Orange County will hover in the low to mid 80s, while inland areas will rise into the 90s and even upper 90s.

The warm weather peaks on Friday.  Then we'll see some cooling Saturday and Sunday.

Right now it looks like we may see some monsoonal moisture pop up again on Saturday in the eastern portion of the viewing area.  Nevertheless we will all start to feel more humid over the weekend.

Basin -low 80s

Beaches - low to mid 70s

Valleys - low 90s

Mountains - mid 70s

Deserts - mid 90s
