If you are a skateboarder, then you know it can be difficult to find the perfect place to practice and enjoy your sport. Riding in a busy public area with a lot of pedestrian traffic is next to impossible, and unless you have a huge backyard with a skate park of your own, you are probably always looking for great places to ride. If you haven’t been to the well-known Venice Beach Skate Park, then you should definitely check it out. Known as one of the best local skate parks, you are sure to fall in love with everything this place has to offer.
Venice Beach Skate Park is located just feet from the ocean, providing a truly beautiful place to practice your skills. There are several places with smooth banks so you can get a lot of speed going, and a large street section with stairs, rails, ledges and boxes to enjoy. There is also a large pool that is probably best for more experienced riders, and it is certainly a lot of fun to just visit and check out the impressive moves that the many boarders practice here.
Keep in mind that this public skate park is only for skateboarders, so no bikes, scooters or BMX allowed here. It is also required that all skateboarders wear helmets, elbow and kneepads when riding in this park. If you just want to visit to watch, you’ll have to stand outside the skate plaza, but you can usually still get a pretty great view of everything going on.
A visit to the Venice Beach Skate Park is the perfect place to hone your skateboarding skills, meet other skateboarders and watch some truly impressive tricks. No need to seek out other places to practice, as this is one of the best in the state.
