A Flock Of Seagulls' Stolen Van Found In Santa Fe Springs

SANTA FE SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — The lead singer of the '80s rock band A Flock of Seagulls told CBS2 that his van, which was stolen outside of a hotel in Downey, was found in Santa Fe Springs.

Mike Score said the band parked their vehicle, which was filled with musical equipment valued at almost $70,000 and hard drives with music from his upcoming solo album, in the parking lot of Comfort Inn around 1:45 a.m. Sunday after they got back from a show in Bellflower.

When they woke up that morning, the vehicle was gone.

The hotel's security cameras showed a suspect break into the 1999 Ford E-350 van with Florida license plates, get inside and then drive away around 2:15 a.m.

There's no word about any arrests.

There's also no information on whether or not the hard drives or musical equipment were recovered from inside the van.
